I have a new boss, thank god, from those posts I made a couple years ago but my new boss is starting to drive me nuts now too. Everything is a fire drill. He sends out these long emails about, basically nothing. Or at least about stuff everyone already knows. Like for example, we are putting in this new procedure. We met about it, we discussed it, everthing is going fine and everything is going to go fine with it. It's not that big of a deal.
But, he'll send these loooong random emails about all these various things that are maybe like 0.01% connected to this project or impact 0.01% of some side business and IF it ever does have an impact it's an easy fix and we can just deal with it then. But no, it's like, check with this person about it and schedule a meeting, ect. There are like 10 (i'm not even exaggerating) things like that all the time in the same email.
And the best or maybe the worst part is when you do follow up on these things he's like 'what are you talking about'? It's like he thinks of this stuff in the middle of the night and busts out a long email and then totally forgets. That just proves how insignificant these things really are.
I know you guys will think this is all on me because of my history on this topic but trust me. Everyone on the team thinks the same thing I do.
