Hi Guys,
I am now doing the FAP IA and I am greatly interested in ERM.
I am thinking whether I could start my own ERM consulting business targeting small and mid-size firm first, then target to the large one later. However, I have only 2 years experiences up to now.
But I am really enjoyed and enthusiastic about ERM, and conducting ERM for different business, its interesting to learn different business and to create a customized framework for them rather than using stats to deal with figures (all actuarial stuffs). After all, pricing, reserving, even ALM is just a part of the risk management. Risk is the most important one, isn't it?
I am now in Hong Kong and have done some research that there maybe a niche for ERMSB (ERM for Small Business) especially targeting on the Hong Kong market. I believe that I could learn from it once starting my own business, and one day I could be an ERM Consultant of some really famous multinational company.
That is why I am now writing to ask you what you think about my idea and the feasibility of it. Please feel free to discuss buddies!
Thanks and Cheers,
Wilson
